As You like It (NYU)

As You Like It, by William Shakespeare, is directed by David Hammond and presented by New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program and the Department of Design for Stage and Film.

Shakespeare’s most joyous comedy brings Rosalind to the Forest of Arden, where the Arcadian bowers of the forest repair and regenerate the lapses of civilization. Boy meets girl pretending to be a boy pretending to be a girl pretending to be a boy–the usual Shakespearean complication filled out with some of his most vibrant characters, in a production conceived as a story told by the ensemble.
