When acclaimed young writer Heat Christiansen returns home to Denmark to write his second novel, his relationships with three women from his childhood – sisters Margrethe and Brigitte, and their cousin Lone – surge into the present and threaten the strength of the womens’ bonds to one another, and place his own career in jeopardy.

A contemporary Danish serio-comedy in the tradition of Chekhov, ANTICIPATING HEAT utilizes the motif of the still photograph to explore the constructs of family, love, and truth.
