Needcompany presents the world premiere of (And), conceived and choreographed by Grace Ellen Barkey. For Needcompany’s Kitchen premiere, Barkey creates a sequel to her critically acclaimed funky Chinese opera Few Things (originally performed in New York as A Miraculous Mandarin.) Loosely inspired by a Persian tale, the new work explores the grotesque side of fairytale, featuring magical characters in fantastical costumes and a space no bigger than a puppet theater.
