Adiós Ayacucho

Yuyachkani, Perú’s foremost theater company returns to Pregones with their acclaimed play Adiós Ayacucho. Based on the novel by Julio Ortega, the play narrates the story of Alfonso Canepa, a farmworker leader from the Southern Peruvian Andes, disappeared and killed during 1980’s, who returns from the other world and begins a journey to Lima, the capital city looking for his bones so that he could rest in peace. Starring Augusto Casafranca, with musical accompaniment by Ana Correa. Adapted and Directed by Miguel Rubio.
