About This Show

Hard to Get Theater Co. presents the world premiere of A La Mode, an original play about apple pie and America. Written by Hard to Get company members Clifford Sofield, Alexander Tepper and Michael Oristaglio, the show incorporates text, music and movement. It uses the image of apple pie to explore perceptions of America in today’s global climate. A La Mode centers on the characters of Adam and Eve – whose decision to eat the apple eventually led to the creation of this quintessential American dessert – and is served up with a scoop of apple facts, legends and history. Amanda Brandes directs and choreographs a cast that features Bryan Black, Nathan Freeman, Eric Rosen, and Nicole Stewart.

Part of the 2003 New York International Fringe Festival.
