A Fire Inside

A Fire Inside takes us through a journey from the poetry and stories written by the well known author, Nikki Giovanni. Nikki Giovanni is a great and well known African American poet who was involved in the black arts movement during the Civil Rights era up to the present. The renowned poets’ works are portrayed by an ensemble that brings to life her intimate, edgy, unapologetic and powerful narratives and poetry. Noele Phillips, who is featured as Giovanni expresses her as a bold, sassy, and gifted women. Ms. Phillips brings a strong presence to the stage.
