About This Show

The Century Center for the Performing Arts’ continues their Ibsen Series with the Off Broadway production of, The Wild Duck. Written 1884, this tragi-comedy is widely considered to be one of the late Norwegian dramatist’s most enduring, effective plays. The story follows an eccentric family whose happiness and harmony is jeopardized when an old friend, armed with a dangerous secret, comes to call, forever transforming their lives. Ibsen uses sight as metaphors throughout the play.
