About This Show

From the acclaimed playwright/composer of Stuck at the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival (winner of the Theatre for the American Musical Prize, DIMF Production Award; Honorable Mentions for Best Book and Best Music) comes a dark new chamber musical that echoes the style of Next to Normal and Bare.

Accident. Murder. Evan must navigate the drugs, debts and relationships he inherits after his twin brother is killed. Darkly visceral, strangely intimate and set to a deeply emotional score, Wearing Black trespasses into the hearts and minds of those left behind and demands to know what place love has in death.

This production contains only the first act of the full-length piece. Starring Daniel Tepper (Super Sidekick-The Musical at Fringe NYC) as Evan, and Erin Maya (Amigo Duende and Zapata at NYMF) as Kristin. Supporting cast includes Miranda Whaley as Alyssa, BJ Gruber as Nate, Dennis Brito as Hugh, and Alfredo Diaz as Avery.
