Two Gentlemen of Verona tells the story of Valentine and Proteus, two young friends who travel from Verona to Milan and together learn about love, friendship, and what it means to be a gentleman. One of the Bard’s earliest works, Two Gentlemen of Verona contains the first examples of the romance, wit, and bawdy humor that define Shakespearean comedy.
