About This Show

Twelfth Night is one of Shakespeare’s greatest comedies. The story is a combination of mistaken
identity, separated twins, and gender-crossing disguise. Based on the surreal island of Illyria,
where nothing is quite what it seems, the plot revolves around overcoming obstacles in the pursuit
of “true love.” A woman’s love for a man is awakened by a woman, a man dressed as a woman
disguises himself as a boy, and a self-inflated steward is brought to his knees through an
orchestrated trick.
