Alan Bates retuns to the New York stage for the first time in nearly thirty years in The Unexpected Man, a new play by Yasmina Reza (Tony Award-winning playwright of Art), translated by Christopher Hampton. Eileen Atkins co-stars as a literary fan who meets a writer on a train–a role that won her an Olivier Award in London. Matthew Warchus directs.
The final performance on Sunday, January 28 at 7pm is a benefit in aid of the Actors’ Centre in London and the Actors Fund of America.
