About This Show

The New Victory – New York’s Ultimate Theater for Kids and Families is Turning 10!

On December 11, 1995, NYC’s premier theater for kids and families forever changed the 42nd street landscape when it became the FIRST historic theater to reopen its doors. Declared “a jewel on a street of gems” by The New York Times, The New Victory Theater garnered an international reputation for “consistently raising dance, theater and performance specifically for family audiences to new levels” (New York Magazine). To date, it has showcased 129 productions (three of which have transferred to Broadway!) by 97 national and international companies.

Now for its 10th Anniversary Season, The New Victory proudly presents 11 spectacular theater, dance, puppetry, comedy and circus productions from around the world. Season highlights include Black Grace dance company from New Zealand, the Golden Dragon Acrobats, London-based James Campbell – the world’s only stand-up comedian for kids, and Maurice Sendak and Tony Kushner’s Brundibar.
