The Children of Children

The Children of Children tells a universal story–a family torn apart by divorce–in a fresh and visionary way. Driven by a highly charged style of music heavily influenced by both Broadway and British progressive rock, this show uses the onstage band as characters periodically and effectively to reveal the different emotional colors of the story usually reserved for book scenes in a standard musical. This rare theatre piece, using an amalgamation of different theatre techniques, bravely straddles and ultimately breaks the line between rock concert and musical theatre in bold and exciting ways.
