About This Show

Scapin is presented as part of The Young Company: Moliere Cycle, co-produced by Columbia Stages, the producing arm of Columbia University’s School of the Arts Theatre Division, and Classic Stage Company.

Scapin tells the tale of two young men foiled in love when their respective fathers arrive determined to marry them off…but not to the women they’re in love with. Scapin, with translation by Albert Bermel, is directed by acclaimed Romanian director Niky Wolcz – one of the foremost experts in commedia dell’arte and critically acclaimed choreographer at the MET for the past 2 years.
