In Retratos da Bahia, the reality of comtemporary Bahian culture is brought to the stage reflecting in the traditions of the past. The dance features an original score by Brazilian composer Tote Gira, additional lyrics and arrangement by Emilia Biancardi Ferreira, ethnomusicologist, director, and composer and specialist in the traditional music and dance forms of Brazil.
