About the Show

Set in the geographical center of the U.S., Al Smith’s Radio is about a farmer-turned-flagmaker’s son who shoots for the moon. A play about memory, love and spaceships, it parallels a young man’s coming of age with the birth and death of the Apollo Space Program, and explores the consequences of our losing sight of the Earth.

A smash-hit at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Radio comes to NY direct from a sold-out engagement at London’s Soho Theatre. It is presented as part of the 2007 Brits Off Broadway festival.

James Yeatman directs.
