Nuyorican Monologues

Nuyorican Monologues includes two solo pieces from Repertorio Espanol. Manchild Dilemma, written and performed by Indio Melendez, deals with a young man who joins the army to escape his overprotective mother and finds that his unit is being deloyed to the Persian Gulf for Desert Storm. Spic Chic (Spanish People are in Control), written and performed by Luis Chaluisan, tells stories frm Chaluisan’s life and his own experiences as a Latino living in the United States.
