About the Show

A Midwesterner comes to New York to be the Superintendent of Schools. Innocent in the ways of aggressive school boards, teacher’s unions, and angry parents, he is bushwhacked by an ambitious mayor and a dysfunctional Board of Ed., who attempt to take him down for reasons that have nothing to do with his job performance, and by special interest groups (such as a group of elementary school children concerned with the flow of chi on their playgrounds). Midwestern Chum is directed by T.L. Reilly for New American Theater of Brooklyn, in association with Young Artists Group.
