About This Show

Celebrated puppeteer/director, Basil Twist returns to Lincoln Center with La bella dormente nel bosco, a magical production of the classic Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. The whimsical orchestration blends musical influences ranging from Baroque period to fox trot. Twist’s wizardry breathes new life into the fable through life-sized string puppets, singing frogs, monstrous spiders, a dancing spindle, ethereal fairies and the beloved slumbering princess. Performed in Italian with English supertitles.

This event is part of the 2005 Festival at Lincoln Center
