Layon Gray's Kings Of Harlem will have a special performance on Tuesday September 15th - at St Lukes Theatre In Midtown Manhattan at 8pm. The play was recently selected to perform as a mainstage production at the National Black Theatre Festival in North Carolina and also performed for the Legends of the NBA for All-Star Weekend 2015.
Layon Gray, the writer and director of the long-running Off-Broadway hit Black Angels Over Tuskegee, continues to expand African-American theatre with his latest work, Kings of Harlem. Inspired by the true story of six men who overcame adversity to win more than 2,000 games while barnstorming throughout segregated parts of the country in the 1930's despite being officially accepted professionally or socially.
