The production, directed by KM Jones, tells the story of Kristina Hendricks, a protective mother whose plan to sabotage her son's engagement dinner takes a shocking turn when her shameful past literally walks through the front door. Set in December 1996—the last days before the internet age stripped away privacy—the play explores what happens when the desperate survival choices of youth collide with the carefully constructed respectability of middle age. "Kristina has built a beautiful life, but it's built on a foundation she's never told her family about," said Campion. "When that foundation cracks, the whole family has to decide what's worth preserving and what needs to be rebuilt."
