About the Show

Eduardo Machado’s Havana Is Waiting makes its New York premiere at the Cherry Lane Theatre. The play explores the comic gravity in a bittersweet tale of a child’s paradise lost and an adult’s attempt to regain it. Forty years after he is shipped off to the U.S. in the “Peter Pan” flights of 1961, a Cuban returns to Havana with a friend, only to land as the newest “lost boy” Elian Gonzalez washes ashore in Miami. Michael John Marces directs.

There are $25.00 student rush tickets available only the day of the performance.
