A is “an unlikely trio with a warped sense of humor, a feast of studied disorder which seems to be an elegy to the performer” (The Inrockuptibles, France). Drawing an anti-postmodern, minimalist parallel to Yvonne Rainer’s classic Trio A, choreographer Carlotta Sagna exposes the inconvenient aspects of performing: the pathetic desire to please, stage fright, the euphoria of applause, and the disarray that follows.
