Big Red Chair Family Series

Through our acclaimed Big Red Chair Family series, we open the doors of the Skirball Center to New York City children, families, students, and teachers; allowing them to experience the wonder and excitement of live performance. Programming focuses on multi-disciplinary work from around the world with a particular interest in engaging young people through innovation, unique perspectives, and introduction to a variety of cultures. The series provides quality enriching exposure to live theater and meaningful opportunities for families to bond across generations. Since the series was inaugurated during out 2008-2009 season, the Big Red Chair Family Series has presented more than 30 productions from 10 different countries.
