Ballet Hispanico
$44.00
Ballet Hispanico leaps onto The Joyce stage with the premiere of Corazon Al-andaluz, choreographed by Ramon Oller to the pulsing rhythms of his native Spain. Willie Rosario spices the repertory with Palladium Suite — an affectionate flashback to the larger-than-life characters who filled the original Palladium nightclub in its red-hot prime. A revival of Tears for Violeta portrays Oller’s haunting landscape of loss, while a selection of duets shows off the dancers’ versatility and dramatic flair.
A special Halloween gala performance launches the season. This will be a concert that celebrates the wonderful contribution that Latin music has made to the world. The evening includes a special tribute honoring Latin Music legends Tito Puente, Machito and Chico O’Farrill.
