My Friend the Cat

My Friend the Cat traces the ten year relationship between a gay man and one very adventuresome feline, Chesterson. From chasing cockroaches in their first apartment, "a crappy East Village monstrosity with sloping floors," where, during hot summers, kitty was placed in the refrigerator to cool off, to wintertime road trips where we learn that cats can indeed drive a station wagon, straight through to the furry one’s cold-blooded attacks upon sleeping bare feet, the story of this special union unfolds year by year.
