About This Show

An original cabaret show about fashion, excess, new underwear and the bourbon splashed childhood of Matthew Holloway in: Wanted: Young Man Single and Free!

As a child Matthew was teased for his "eccentricities" and called Mary incessantly, leaving him with a psychologically questionable state of mind and a burning desire to sing and perform. His mother’s love of bourbon did nothing to help his social life when, during many of his formative birthday parties, she broke out the bottle…and the Dixie cups.
One night, in a desperate attempt to find guidance, he asked Jesus to make him more like the host of Solid Gold (except he wanted Crystal Gale’s hair instead). The results of his prayers were astounding!
Having made his way to New York, he created this one-of-a-kind cabaret show in which he regales the audience with tales from his bizarre childhood and inner fantasies, and sings fifteen songs culled from the likes of such greats as Queen, Journey, R.E.M., Sondheim, Tina Turner, Laura Nyro, Leonard Cohen, John Prine and much, much more.
This is a one-night-only performance not to be missed.
