Living with her mother on their farm in Oklahoma, Lillian’s one wish is to find her absent father. With depression, desperation, and the dust bowl all around her, she finds herself transported from her 1930s life to the fantastical world of Madam Fury’s Traveling Show, a magical circus in the dust. Amidst the curious characters, including the alluring, but mysterious namesake, Lillian must discover who her father truly was, who she is, and who she wants to become.
