About This Show

If you were lucky enough to see Lucie Arnaz’ SOLD OUT 90+ minutes of nonstop, kick-ass entertainment last year, you’ll want to call all your friends and reserve early this time ’cause she’s comin’ back for two nights only, Sunday and Monday, November 18th and 19th at 7pm. These concerts are part of the Broadway at Birdland series, presented by Jim Caruso’s Cast Party and TheaterMania.com. As always, Lucie is supported by some of the finest musicians in the country. Ron Abel, Lucie’s longtime musical director and arranger, who just hosted his own sold out, two night run at Birdland in July, will be at the piano. Lucie’s musical savvy will spin her through standards, country, jazz, a beautiful new ballad or two, self-penned tunes of romance and revenge, and some music celebrating her Latin heritage.
Her reviews say it even better than we could:

“Lucie Arnaz is not good – she’s great! …She sings like a dream, and is a fabulous saloon singer. Her voice, with its muted trumpet tones and charming trill, is a remarkable instrument.”
— The New York Post

“A superior nightclub act… Lucie Arnaz delivers the goods in old fashioned style… there is something for everyone and it’s dished up with showbiz pizzazz. Through it all she is able to communicate a genuinely warm personality that allows her considerable talent full sway.”
— Variety

“Lucie showed off her rangy voice in standards, country and her own Broadway hit ‘They’re Playing Our Song.’ She paid constant tribute to her dad, Desi Arnaz, whose music inspired her from childhood and, indeed, was at her best in a couple of fiery Latin songs…”
— Gay City News

“An enthrallingly entertaining extravaganza with Lucie tirelessly performing a two-hour concert. (When was the last time ANY artist did a set that lasted longer than one hour?) And the beauty of the thing was that each minute was sensational! Backed by a killer-talented band, Lucie took to the stage…and proceeded to set the bar incredibly high for herself! In impressive voice, exuding sexual energy, looking damn amazing, and the woman is hilarious.”
— New York Cool

“It was so well put together, so beautifully arranged, so charming. The whole night was a joy and very touching.”
— Lyricist, David Zippel

Lucie says: “I just enjoy acting out these stories. That’s all really great songs are, anyway. And I always have fun. I love to sing. I pick good tunes. I have Ron Abel and Billy Stritch arrangements. My little 4-5 piece band is going to be killer. All I ever need are people in the seats who are there to have as much fun as we do!”
