Soprano Marianne Pousseur takes on the interpretation of multiple roles in this one-act opera / monodrama by one of Europe’s foremost living composers. With a libretto based on Jules Laforgue’s Les Moralités légendaires and inspired by Wagner’s opera, Sciarrino’s masterpiece brings Elsa’s fantasy of love-longing for Lohengrin to the contemporary stage.
