Les Ballets Grandiva

Les Ballets Grandiva is an all male comedy ballet company, one of only a handful of companies in the world that practice this art form. The concept of Ballet Grandiva is at its core to perform many different styles of dance including 19th and 20th century ballets that are classics and new works that satirize contemporary choreographers’ styles. From Romeo to Juliet, Don Quixote to Pocahontas, gallant fauns to dying swans, these “ballerinas” approach some of history’s greatest roles with flamboyant aplomb. Les Ballet Grandiva was founded by present director Victor Trevino. The founding company consisted of 13 dancers and a rep of 7 ballets and this season has grown to 19 dancers and 32 active ballets in the repertoire.
