Calvin Levels portrays the late great writer/activist James Baldwin. The play gives vital information as well as historical reintrepertation of incidents of the 1960s, including the meeting with Robert Kennedy, Meeting with Rev Dr Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and the Civil Rights Movement, The Broadway productions of two of his plays, his friendship with Lorraine Hansberry, Marlon Brando, Norman Mailer, Langston Hughes, Truman Capote, and Medgar Evers. Mr Levels takes us on a journey of the young James Baldwin when he expatriated in the early 1950s to Paris to write the powerful novel, Go tell it on the Mountain.
