Recording star and Tony® Award winner Heather Headley returns to Broadway for a concert event entitled Home to benefit the Children & Family Initiative of Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS. Headley performs songs from the worlds of pop, R&B, and Broadway. This marks Heather’s fourth engagement at the New Amsterdam Theatre. She made her Broadway debut on the stage as Nala in The Lion King. She returned to the New Amsterdam for the BC/EFA benefit concert “Your Song” where she and other Broadway stars performed the music of Elton John. Her last appearance on the stage of the New Am was in the benefit concert of Dreamgirls in 2001.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) is the nation’s leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fund raising and grant making organization. BC/EFA is the on-going, committed response from the American theater community to an urgent worldwide health crisis. By drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of this community, BC/EFA raises funds for AIDS-related causes across the United States. Since it’s founding in 1988, BC/EFA has distributed over $85 million for critically needed services for people with AIDS, HIV, or HIV-related illnesses.
