Gypsy of the Year 2008

Throughout the years, the Gypsy of the Year competition has become one of the hottest and most anticipated tickets of the fall season. New York’s most talented "gypsies," chorus members from Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, join in a competition/variety show as six weeks of intensive fundraising to benefit Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) come to a close.

In addition, this year will see the return of “Team Raiser,” an online fundraising method introduced last year that allows fans to make donations to BC/EFA via the Broadway Cares website. Those who make online donations can enter to win special prizes which include autographed Playbills signed by the casts of All My Sons, Equus, and Shrek; roundtrip plane tickets; and a New York City weekend getaway.
