Ghost vs. Sanne

Ghost vs. Sanne is a new Swedish group that is redefining the fusion of soul and electronic-pop. The group is fronted by 22 year-old prodigy Sanne Karlsson, the most exciting new singer to emerge from the Stockholm “Soul Underground” scene. Her unique, otherworldly vocal style transcends the music and has been met with great acclaim after performances in Sweden, Finland, and New York City earlier this year.

The “Ghost” part of the group (Ulf Lindstrom and Johan Ekhe) are one of Sweden’s most sought after and legendary songwriter/producer teams. Over the last 15 years they have worked with many international artists and their successes have included the 3 multi-platinum albums by Robyn. They were also thrice nominated for and one-time winner of a Swedish Grammy for Best Pop Song in 2006.

The debut album from Ghost vs. Sanne will be released in the US digitally September and in stores January 2009. This special Joe’s Pub show will include tunes from the upcoming album (Hold This Girl), which has been garnering tons of buzz for its edgy, provocative, immensely soulful sound.
