Faith in Time, Jimmy’s Song: A Tribute to Jimmy Scott

Jazz vocal artist, composer, and poet Nora McCarthy and her Quintet, comprised of world-renowned musical artists, will present a night of romantic, beautiful ballads and other jazz classics attributed to the legendary song stylist Jimmy Scott, including McCarthy’s original composition Faith in Time, Jimmy’s Song, inspired by Scott’s life story. Her tribute to Jimmy Scott at the Triad Theater is an homage to an artist who shares the same hometown as McCarthy — Cleveland — and who she credits as a major influence in her life and music.
