Earthsavers Dreams Ensemble

The Earthsavers Dreams Ensemble, a group of talented, differently-abled youth from the Philippines, will perform a special one-night concert at La MaMa ETC. This unique socially integrated performing group composed of physically handicapped and street kids and youth from poor and indigenous communities. They have been a model for environmental education and social rehabilitation efforts for the San Francisco City Special Education program and the Archdiocese of San Francisco’s ethnic ministry. They have had the honor of theatrically interpreting an original Peter, Paul and Mary song, “Don’t Laugh at Me,” with the trio’s permission as an artistic appeal for tolerance, caring and sharing to build a culture of peace
