Irish American Writers and Artists in conjunction with the 1st Irish Festival and Gaeil Nua-Eabhrac is proud to present:
‘Do Thinteán Féin’ – A Salon of Irish Language and Bilingual Performances.
A céad míle fáilte to Irish speakers of all abilities and lovers of the language to our online fireside where we bring together an uplifting collection of Irish language and bi-lingual performances with artists and performers from both sides of the Atlantic.
Inspired by the old Irish seanfhocal “Níl aon tinteán mar do thinteán féin’ – “There is no fireside like your own fireside” – we welcome you to join us by the hearth for an evening filled with a specially curated mix of bilingual song, comedy, music, poetry, conversation and craic.
Celebrate the new traditions created through our beautiful ancient language, experience some of the best new talent the Irish language has to offer, and meet with the performers who are bringing their love for the language into their work in this unique meeting of US and Ireland-based artists.
Among the featured performers: Sinéad Ní Uallacháin (TV/Radio presenter and podcast host), Madelyn Monaghan (singer); Micheál Cuirtín (Creative Arts Project Director), Joseph Jones (Actor / Model), Fran Mulraney (Editor and Journalist) and Siobhán Ní Chiobháin (Producer and Director).
This FREE ONLINE EVENT is open to everyone and as performances will be cross-cultural, you do not need to have experience speaking Gaeilge, the Irish language, to appreciate and understand.
Fáilte roimh chách.
FREE Online: Wednesday 26th January 2022, 7pm ET
