Dare To Be Classic – Annual Gala

The Pearl Theater Company, now in its 21st season of classical repertory performed Off-Broadway by a professional Resident Acting Company, honors playwright Wendy Wasserstein as a “classic voice in contemporary theatre” at its annual Gala benefit evening entitled Dare To Be Classic. The evening is co-hosted by actress Marian Seldes and Pearl alum actor David Hyde Pierce (he appeared at The Pearl during it’s first season 1984-85), and features performances of Ms. Wasserstein’s dramatic work as well as readings from her essays by The Pearl Theatre Company’s distinguished Resident Acting Company.
