Daphne Rubin-Vega

Presented with TeatroStageFest Conciertos Intimos, Daphne Rubin-Vega returns to Joe’s Pub to rock out her melodic, driving and sexy tunes, playing music from her new CD, Redemption Songs, a vibrant and sophisticated collection of pop, reggae-tinged, rock and Latin folk songs that are soulful, passionate and from her heart. Having just played Fantine in the Broadway revival of Les Miserables, DRV is now appearing in the LAByrinth Theater Conmpany’s production of Jack Goes Boating at the Public Theater. Daphne Rubin-Vega first lit up Broadway with her debut as Mimi in the original cast of Rent, for which she won the Theater World Award, and the Tony and Drama Desk nominations.

TeatroStageFest is an artistic, cultural and educational celebration, set against the backdrop of New York City that spotlights center-stage Latino theater artists from New York, the Caribbean, Latin America and Spain.
