About this show

Grammy Award winner Chaka Khan will play the B.B. King Blues Club in New York City on New Year's Eve, taking the place of singer James Brown, who passed away on Monday. Khan, who has won eight Grammy Awards over her 30-plus-year career, is known for such hits as "Tell Me Something Good," "Sweet Thing," "Ain't Nobody," "I'm Every Woman," and "I Feel For You." She has been heard on the soundtracks of numerous films, including To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar, Waiting to Exhale, Bridget Jones' Diary, and The 40 Year Old Virgin. Khan also appeared briefly in the film The Blues Brothers. NOTE: All New Year's Eve ticket holders should enter the block from the NorthEast corner of 42nd Street and 8th Avenue. To enter the block, all ticketholders must present their hard ticket at the police barricade. Anyone with Will Call tickets should look for a B.B. King Representative (wearing B.B. King hats and sweatshirts and may have a B.B. King's sign), who will give them their ticket there, at which point they should follow the directions listed above. Doors open at 6:00pm.
