About This Show

Singer, songwriter, producer, actor, Carlton J. Smith is often referred to as “Soul Brother Number New” for his hard-charging R&B act. His widely acclaimed R&B/Soul Revue shows are real crowd-pleasers. Carlton J. Smith produces B.B. King’s popular monthly all-star tributes to the great voices of soul & R&B.

He was the first man to portray the legendary James Brown on the silver screen in Barry Levinson’s “Liberty Heights.” A job he did so well, rumor has it, that even Mr. Brown thought the far-away shots were of him!

Join Carlton as he and his friends pay tribute to and honor the Motown legacy. The artists performing these songs will include: Chennette Barreto, Barry Wes, Arlene Rieara, Karl Dixon, Antonique Smith and other artists dropping by for brunch. Along with his incredible band, “The Mighty Magnificents” (Kevin Chisholm, Dan Nachimson, Joe Mahone and Dean Zucchero) and accompanied by Carlton’s favorite horn section…Teo Avery & Kenyatta.
