About This Show

The cast of the hit Broadway revival of Evita will offer tricks and treats as they present Broadway Scares: Night of the Singing Dead, the first ever Halloween extravaganza to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, on Sunday, October 28 at XL Nightclub.

The ghostly evening will include a concert, costume contest and late-night dance party. Special guest Alice Ripley is set to perform and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton will help judge the costume contest.

The evening starts with the Halloween-themed concert featuring camp, vamps and tramps as well as some of the best voices on Broadway. Among the cast members scheduled to appear are Rachel Potter, Bradley Dean, Laurel Harris, Brad Little, Jessica Lee Patty and Daniel Torres.

Drag diva Bianca del Rio will serve as hostess for the evening including a post-concert costume contest for audience members. The winner of the best costume will receive two tickets to Evita, a backstage tour of the Marquis Theatre and the chance to meet Ricky Martin after the show. The spooks will then continue late into the night with a ghoulish dance party.

Doors will open at 8:30 pm with the concert scheduled to begin at 9 pm. Tickets for this special benefit are $40 for reserved seating and $20 for general admission. They may be purchased in advance at broadwaycares.org or by calling 212.840.0770, ext. 268.

XL Nightclub is located at 512 West 42nd Street, between Ninth and Tenth Avenues, in New York.
