About This Show

The Richard Rodgers Development Award was founded in 1980 as a way of giving back to the Broadway community by acknowledging promising young theater writers and helping them launch their careers. Over the years, the Award has honored the writers of such popular shows as Rent, Nine, Bat Boy, Juan Darien and many others. Broadway Close Up presents Richard Rodgers: Giving Back, an evening of songs and the stories behind some of these award-winning productions. Liz Callaway hosts.
