American Songbook: Chistine Ebersole

American Songbook–the acclaimed Lincoln Center series devoted to the popular American song, its singers, and songwriters–presents Christine Ebersole, 2001 Tony Award winner for Best Actress in a Musical for her role in 42nd Street, will present a wonderful evening of song accompanied on piano by Marc Shaiman and directed by Scott Wittman, 2003 Tony Award winners for Best Score for Hairspray.

Shaiman served as Ebersole’s accompanist for her very first club act in 1980 and, with Wittman, worked with her on her now legendary review at New York’s Arci’s Place in 2001. For American Songbook, the three reunite for an updated version of this fantastic program.
