About This Show

The internationally acclaimed smooth jazz band Acoustic Alchemy will be performing in a very special benefit concert to raise money for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund at the Institute for Science and Health. Proceeds from this event will go toward research for early detection, innovative targeted therapies, and hopefully a cure for the dreaded disease of pancreatic cancer. VIP tickets include preferred seating and a special reception with the band after the show.

These events have very special meaning for Greg Carmichael, who co-founded Acoustic Alchemy with fellow guitarist Nick Webb. Nick Webb died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 43. According to Greg, “Nick was an inspiration for all of us in the band, involved in the music, ideas for arrangements, and recordings. He continues to be an inspiration to this day.”

The Institute is honored that such a fine and globally recognized group has the desire to reach out to others and help those that are living with, or will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Acoustic Alchemy has chosen to team up with the Institute For Science And Health to raise funds for early detection, targeted therapies, and hopefully a cure for pancreatic cancer by donating their time and efforts to perform at benefit concerts. Proceeds from these concerts help to fund the Pancreatic Cancer Research Program, part of the Gastrointestinal Diseases Program Initiative at the Institute.
