About This Show

In Shakespeare’s time, “cate” meant a small sweet, like a petit four. Change that “c” to a “K” and you get the whole midnight buffet! In her new show, A Tasty Piece of Kate, 2006 Backstage Bistro Award-winner Kate Loitz explores love (sex, actually), marriage and food – the three pillars of her happy, interesting life. A Tasty Piece of Kate features direction by Erv Raible and musical direction by Robert Marks.

Kate Loitz’s musical career began in coffee houses during her college years, was refined on the musical stage and ultimately honed in the cabarets of New York, Boston and Chicago. With the Wisconsin Idea Theater, Kate appeared in West Side Story, 1940’s Radio Hour, Thurber Carnival, Noel Coward’s Fallen Angels and Tom Stoppard’s Travesties. Her cabaret shows include: Let’s Not Talk About Love and I’m Glad I’m Not Young Anymore. Kate’s critically acclaimed debut CD, I’m Glad I’m Not Young Anymore is now available.
