About the Show
The State Ballet Theatre of Russia makes its McCarter debut with Sleeping Beauty, set to the familiar Tchaikovsky score. The traditional Petipa choreography tells the age-old story of the sleeping Princess Aurora and the handsome prince who awakens her with a kiss. This company is the youngest of Russia’s major dance ensembles and hails from the city of Ufa in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
