Based on the 1949 autobiographical book by two members of the family, Cheaper by the Dozen offers a comic look at life in an unusually large family and the attempts of Father, a renowned efficiency expert, to apply his business theories at home. Employing job charts and assigning official duties to various members of his clan, Father’s efforts to maintain order are sometimes embarrassing, often humorous, and surprisingly effective. It was made into a movie in 1950; a 2003 film version starred Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt.
There will be additional performances on Sundays, October 2, 8, and 9 at 2pm.
