See modern jazz titans David Sanborn and Bob James share the stage in what will surely be an amazing night of jazz at its very best! Joining the duo for this performance are drummer Steve Gadd and bassist James Genus.
From his early years touring with Sarah Vaughan to founding the smooth jazz supergroup Fourplay, Bob James has explored a vast stretch of musical territory. A leading force in 1970s crossover jazz, the keyboardist played an essential role on a series of hit records by Stanley Turrentine, Maynard Ferguson, and Grover Washington, Jr. He scored his first Grammy® Award with guitarist Earl Klugh on their 1980 album One on One, and earned another Grammy® for his hit collaboration with Sanborn on Double Vision.
David Sanborn has been one of the most visible and influential saxophonists in jazz for over four decades. A six-time Grammy®-winner, his 30 albums as a leader encompass R&B, blues, ballads, post-bop, and the avant-garde. As a studio veteran, he has lent his passionate, unmistakable tone to recordings by Eric Clapton, James Brown, and dozens more.
